Meet Soren! He's 2 1/4 yrs old and a fast learner. The boys loved making their pizzas. They also loved playing together so much that they had no interest in eating much of their pizza.
Before the pizza making fun Z-man helped Daddy make the pizza dough. Z's Uncle Ed and Aunt Katherine sent him the adorable chef hat and we completed the look with his apron. He was ready for action!
Making the dough doesn't take long but there are two 10 minute periods of time where the dough is either resting or kneaded by the mixer. Both times Z watched and waited patiently. Way to go Z!
I'm starting to get "the look" from Z when he's tired of me taking pictures of him. Bummer. I didn't think he'd turn this young. At one point he even said "Mom. No. More. Pictures!"
Later in the evening Soren and his parents, Mara and Mike came over for pizza. Z is kind of a shy kid who takes a little time to warm up to new people and a new house. Not Soren! He ran right to the play kitchen and started playing. Impressive!
The same happened with making a pizza for the first time. Soren jumped right in and picked it up right away. He loves pizza sauce and actually gave the cutest look when we took the pizza sauce away that said, "that's all?! Why you skimping on the sauce?"
By the end of the night Z and Soren were running laps around the house and landing in our gigantic bean bag at the end of every lap. They were both out of breath with the rosiest cheeks I've ever seen. Here's where I say Z fell asleep as soon as he hit the pillow.... Nope. He pretty much chatted and chatted and chatted away just too excited about life. I love that kid!
