Sunday Pizza: 02.26.2012

Happy Leap Day!  Is that what you say?  What do you say?  Nothing I guess.  Oh well.  Right now I'm multi-tasking. That's right I'm working while blogging! (at 9pm!)  Yes, guilt guilt send me jewels, flowers, candy, and a masseuse.

Ok truthfully it isn't as bad as I'm making it sound.  As you may already know I can work from home.  I have something that really can only run when everyone else is offline.  So it is running away while I relive yet another super Sunday!

Hey!  Are you still awake?  Don't drool on your keyboard or other chosen handheld device!  As you can tell from the pictures we have made a LARGE leap in pizza making with Z-Man.

You knew it had to happen sooner or later.  Guess what, it turned out to be sooner rather than later!  Dude's not even THREE and he's tossing pizza dough like a pro.  Amazing!

C taught him to make fists and he put the dough on his little fists and Z just let that dough fly!  It was awesome!  He had no fear of dropping the dough or poking a hole in the dough.  The pizza turned out great!

C made a strombolli with it.  Spectacular!

The pictures really tell it all.  You top it like a regular pizza and roll it up.  Place it on a baking sheet, top with oil and bake about 15 minutes.  I recommend lining baking sheet with parchment paper.  We used oil and the fire alarm went off... again.

We made another one without sauce and I think I liked it even better.  Not as mushy.  The second one we baked and didn't cut.  Instead we put it in the fridge once cool and rebaked it the next day for about 10 minutes.  Just as crispy and tasty!

We had tons of dough left so we put it in the fridge for the next day.  It pulled out super nice and made just as yummy pizza the next day.  The key is to let the dough come to room temperature first.

C brought leftover strombolli to work today and reported it is also good cold.  Whatta guy!  He suggests bringing them to a picnic.  Awe!

At some point Z was back to throw more dough.  Every throw giggling his heart out and saying, "Let's do that again!"

Yum and Fun!
